Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, teacher, and Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton. She is the child of Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" born in Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of productions as a young girl and observing her mother doing her job. Anna was featured in a variety of advertisements as a kid. Anna relocated to Toronto to Los Angeles in 1999. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. The two were engaged by the year 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman at the age of 11, after having converted to Judaism.
